Description
Nor283 Dodekahahedron from Norsonic is a powerful, robust and stable and small omnidirectional speaker.
The Nor 283 is designed for continuous operation for more than one hour at full power. It is mainly designed to be used with Norsonic power amplifiers Nor280 or Nor282 (if used with others, warranty is void). These amplifiers have built-in limiting circuits to protect the speaker from unwanted high- and low-frequency components outside the frequency bands required for sound isolation testing.
The Nor282 cordless power amplifier has preset functions to optimize the response of Nor282. Further improvement of frequency response to match the room characteristic is easily achieved by using the built-in graphic equalizer.
The low weight of less than 5.3 kg is achieved through the use of specially designed speaker elements with neodymium magnets. The low weight is not at the expense of robustness.
The cabinet is cast in high-density polyethylene and the speakers are protected by custom-made steel grilles.
The speaker comes with a high-quality tripod that ensures proper placement so that unwanted reflections and structural transmissions are kept to a minimum. Inside the 25 mm tripod tube bracket on the speaker there is an 8 mm threaded screw that makes it easy to mount the speaker upside down in the seal of a silent chamber or similar.
It weighs only 5,3kg – 123dB Lw! Size ø 270mm.
