Description
SoundConnect 2 is a compact and robust USB-controlled microphone power supply and amplifier.
It can power either one or two microphones, so it's a good choice for audio test applications where two microphones need power at the same time, such as headphone tests, stereo measurements, or when you need a reference microphone as well as your DUT microphone for simultaneous measurements.
- USB control: SoundConnect 2 has full USB control from SoundCheck in addition to the manual user interface.
- Powers all types of test microphones: Two BNC jacks on the rear panel provide either power to IEPE microphones (ICP/CCP..) or accelerometers, or 10 VDC power to Listen SCM microphones.
Optional LEMO connectors are available to power microphones that require 200V polarization. - It is fully TEDS compliant (with upcoming firmware update) for seamless communication of calibration data to your measuring device.
- Wide frequency response: SoundConnect 2 has a bandwidth of more than 100kHz and offers gain control from -20dB to +40dB in 10dB increments.
- Selectable low-pass filters (22.4 kHz and 120 kHz) and high pass (1Hz, 10Hz, 20Hz and 100Hz) 2nd order Butterworth filters allow frequency response to be tailored to a wide range of applications.
- Each channel can be configured independently, and the configurations can be saved for later recall.
- Low intrinsic noise: SoundConnect 2 offers excellent dynamic range and low distortion.
- Balanced inputs and outputs offer excellent noise rejection and ground loop immunity.
- Simple user interface: The front panel has simple push buttons for power and gain control; Multicolored level indicators and a 2-line LCD display provide a clear readout of settings.
- Compact and lightweight: The device is compact and lightweight, measuring just 4 3/8" wide and 2U tall. Up to four units can be mounted side by side in a 19" x 2U rack.
SoundConnect 2 is very cost-effective compared to many other microphone power supplies that offer similar capabilities.
